Celebrating 10 Years

This year marks a decade of serving our community through free medical, dental, counseling, and spiritual care.

As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to explore the stories, milestones, and memories that have shaped Living Water Community Clinic over the past 10 years. From our earliest days to the people and moments that continue to inspire our mission, each story reflects the impact of compassionate care in our community.

Check back often as we share a new memory, milestone, or story from our journey.

Living Water Community Clinic was the vision of Pastor Adam Colson. As he reflected on Matthew 10:8 — “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers… freely you have received, freely give” — he was moved to open a free clinic that would do just that.

A committee was immediately established to move forward and make that vision a reality. Many people and organizations stepped up to help bring this vision to life. The Living Water Community Clinic opened its doors to patients in less than a year from concept to reality — something normally unheard of. Now, 10 years later, our doors are still open.

We believe in treating our patients with kindness, compassion, and integrity. We are staffed by professional medical, dental, counseling, and spiritual volunteers.

Some of our firsts:

  • Our first Medical Director was Dr. Thomas Reynolds.
  • Our first provider was Elizabeth Sullivan, NP.
  • Our first nurse was Bonita Hughes, RN.
  • Our first Board of Directors Chair was Sean Barden.
  • Our first counselors were Pastor Tom Schafer and Carolyn Graham.
  • Our first Executive Director was Debbie McInnis.

We started with over 50 volunteers who helped support the clinic in every role, including medical, counseling, spiritual, administrative, and more.

Today, we celebrate 10 years of providing FREE medical, dental, counseling, and spiritual care to those in our communities who need it most. On May 28, 2016, we cut the ribbon on the Living Water Community Clinic, making access to care possible for our neighbors.
Over the past decade, we have helped improve patients’ quality of life, and we have saved lives. We have also expanded our services by adding new programs to provide additional support for our patients.

Today, we celebrate our patients, volunteers, donors, and supporters who have made this mission possible. Attached is a photo from our ribbon cutting on May 28, 2016. Over the next few days, we will be sharing comments and stories from our patients and supporters as we celebrate this milestone together.
